In today's Heartland Market Talk, we review the strength in the wheat market which is in recovery mode after the USDA revealed what many note, the winter wheat crop in the southern plains in trouble. Rain forecasts continue to remain void for now, and this lift in wheat pricesĀ also helped corn futures put new contract highs on the July through December contracts. Corn does not have the availability of new crop wheat supplies to help stretch out old crop corn numbers which are tight to the rest of this year.
